There is something incredibly special to me about capturing generations. When a baby is born into a family their world is forever changed. I have been fortunate to photograph a few newborn baby girl/mother/grandmother sessions and they always shake me to the core. I have only felt the indescribable LOVE from when my own children were born, but a grandchild?! I think this is something most mothers dream about experiencing one day and it is something to truly treasure. I’ve said it before, but I really do have the best clients. I get a lot of inquiries – some are from people only want pricing… but the ones who usually become my clients are from people who see my work, read my blog and have a story to tell ME about their life and who they love most in this world. They have a special reason for coming to my studio and they dream about the images we are going to take before we even meet. This is why I love doing what I do! What a special memory for them all. <3
Baby girl C was such a good girl and her newborn session was a breeze. New mom and grandmom got prettied up while I did some individual photos of their new addition. She was adorable and I even caught a huge smile from her! Her parents will have a funny story to tell her when she grows up about WHY she was probably smiling, but life when you are only 2 weeks old is blissfully simple like that 😉 We did some more photos in the studio and then went outside to the dock. It was a gorgeous day and we caught the last little light of a sweet sunset. Congrats to Baby C’s new parents and grandparents, I hope you cherish these images for many years to come <3 Here are several favorites from our time together – Enjoy!
