understanding focal length ~ mamarazzi 101 {charlotte moms photography class}

Last weekend I taught my first  Mamarazzi class and it was fabulous. I was very lucky to have such a bright group of mamas – they made my job easy! It was fun to see lights going off around the room as we went over different photography concepts 🙂 The main thing that I really need to brush up on is my Canon camera settings!! More than half my mamas had Canon so we had a few stalled attempts at demonstrating settings :-/ But amazingly enough, we ended exactly ON time and I only need to make one revision to my manual for the next class! Score.

The biggest “wow” moments I got from the class were while I was going over the visuals for understanding aperture, as well as the visual exercise below that I created showing how much of an impact focal length has on your image.

Thanks again to all the lovely moms who came out ❤ I will be posting a March 2013 Mamarazzi 101 date soon, so stay tuned!
