going green at mcdowell park – south charlotte family photographer
This morning we took the boys to the McDowell nature park in South Charlotte. Even though it was about 10:30 and the sun was high overhead, the huge green trees provided tons of shade to keep us cool.
As nice as the shade was for that reason, it made taking photos pretty challenging…the shade was really dark in places and the lush greenery provided a nice greeeen glow from above – oh so lovely on the skin! I had this problem a little bit before when we hiked the Anne Springs Close Greenway, but the color wasn’t nearly as prominent as McDowell today!
Last time we hiked the trail it was winter and I got some awesome pictures of the boys. But summer time when the leaves are full might just be a no-no for future reference. Lesson learned, I still got a few keepers to share!
