texture, grayscale and friday the 13th – charlotte family photographer
It’s Friday the 13th, an appropriate ending to a very gray, rainy week here in Charlotte. I thought it would be equally appropriate to take some black and whites with lots of texture, a technique that has grown to become one of my favorites.
When I first started learning how to use my camera my #1 priority was to get a clear, sharp image. Once I figured out how to do that I slowly started working backwards and experimenting with different techniques. My all time favorite is still light painting but bringing a little grain back can add visual interest (when it’s done intentionally ;)).
For these images I used my new 50mm 1.4 and bumped the iso up to 1600. I love them! Happy Friday ❤
